Vice Director of Sustainability
The Vice Chair of Sustainability will be the second-in-command to the Chair of Sustainability. Responsibilities include: weekly meetings with the Chair to discuss progress and campaign planning, managing members of the committee, corresponding with administration, etc.
Requirements: strong leadership and management skills.
Webmaster
The Webmaster will be in charge of operating the Student Sustainability Committee’s website and Facebook page. Responsibilities include: uploading personal bios for members of SSC to the website, writing one blog post per month on recent SSC initiatives, posting weekly sustainability challenges to the Facebook page, and working to expand Facebook followers.
Requirements: good writing, and communication skills.
Secretary
The Secretary will be in charge of managing and organizing the Committee’s affairs. Responsibilities include: taking notes at each meeting, recording attendance, and keeping track of SSC’s progress toward goals.
Requirements: good organizational skills.
Research Director
The Research Director will supplement SSC’s initiatives and goals by researching university and state policies related to sustainability. Responsibilities include: investigative research, assigning research tasks to other SSC members, and preparing a summary of researching findings before each weekly meeting.
Outreach Coordinator
The Outreach Coordinator will be in charge of managing outreach to students on campus in regards to campaigns. Responsibilities include: communicating and meeting with student groups on campus, petitioning, and managing other members of SSC to assist in outreach.
Requirements: great people skills, articulate, and strong leadership abilities.
